Intervista a Patrick Dorvil

Patrick Dorvil has been working as Senior Economist in the Circular Economy Division at the European Investment Bank (EIB) since 2008. The European Investment Bank is the European Union’s bank with the key objective to implement EU policy. It is the world’s largest multilateral borrower providing more than 70 billion Euro investment each year. Patrick’s main duty at the Bank was to carry out the due diligence work, to monitor solid waste / circular economy projects both within and outside the European Union. The EIB has been collaborating with the University College London (UCL) since 2013 by providing key experts for teaching purpose. Within this context, Patrick has been teaching Circular economy / environmental economics at UCL since 2013. Patrick has studied civil engineering in Stuttgart / Germany and holds a Master degree from Nottingham Trent University from United Kingdom and a PhD in Economics from St Gallen University in Switzerland. Since October 2023, Patrick is Scholar-In-Residence for one year funded by Fulbright Foundation at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras within the Department of Environmental Sciences, teaching Circular Economy and Environmental Economics.
